Essays on the Main/The Beginnings of the Spiritual Path

The Beginnings of the Spiritual Path

Most people who consider themselves spiritual engage in practices that have nothing to do with spirituality. Various “religious” body movements, like jumping over campfires, chanting ritual mantras with coarse ajna voices, begging before God, “group sex”, “urinotherapy”, using drugs for “going to the astral plane”, sacrificing animals, people, as well as parts of human bodies (cutting off foreskins and clitoris) and other similar fads — all these do not make us better before God, and God does not need this from us.

In order to learn to distinguish between true and false practices, it is necessary to have the right understanding about the meaning of our lives on the Earth and the ways to realize it. And what is even more important — one has to have an understanding of Who God is. Only in this case can advancement along the Path be successful.

God is not this or that animal, not this or that natural element, not this or that mighty man-ruler over other people. God is an eternal and infinite Ocean of Living Consciousness. And we are inside that Ocean.

Atheist physiologists and foolish believers of different denominations have taught the masses of people to believe that thinking, memory, and emotions are functions of the brain. But this is wrong. All these properties are functions of immaterial structures of the organism, such as the soul and consciousness. And the role of the brain is to ensure adequate contact of the incarnate soul — with the material environment with which we interact and in which we have to develop.

After the death of the body, every sufficiently developed soul continues to live, remembering everything important, thinking, and reacting emotionally. It is possible to talk to such souls. Mourning over someone’s material body’s death is a sign of egocentrism (“why did you leave me?!”, “how will I go on without you?!”) and religious ignorance.

God sent us to earthly incarnations for the sake of us bettering ourselves on the path of personal perfection. The point is that, having developed ourselves, we can be accepted by our Creator into His Divine I. We should try to become worthy of it — out of our love for Him. We have to try to develop ourselves so that we can enrich Him with ourselves.

And — based on this knowledge — we can easily see how pernicious is the statement of one of the modern sects that all spiritual efforts are inadmissible because such efforts can make one proud! And pride, they say, is the worst of all sins!

But Jesus said: “Learn from Me…” (Matthew 11:29) and “… The Heavenly Kingdom is taken by might, and those who make the effort exalt it!” (Matthew 11:12).

There is a concept of the Trinity. It refers to the Unity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Synonyms for God the Father are Primordial Consciousness, Creator, Ishvara, Allah, Jehovah, Svarog, and other words from various linguistic traditions.

God the Holy Spirit is a disembodied male or female Person Who has attained the Divine Perfection. The Holy Spirits are infinitely many. And the Mergence of all these Divine Souls into One United Whole is God the Father.

But the phrase the Holy Spirit is often used in a plural sense. This must be kept in mind in conversations.

If someone says that he or she converses with God and receives instructions and advice from Him, it means communication with specific Holy Spirits or the Holy Spirit, not with God in general.

But where is the line between true communion with One of Them — and fantasy or even psychopathology? The most important criteria are as follows: the level of subtlety of consciousness and the possession of peace in the one who makes such contact. It is not the Holy Spirits who seek contact with coarse and restless incarnate people.

Let us remember that the Holy Spirits are at the highest level of subtlety on the “subtlety — coarseness scale”. And hell with its coarseness is on the opposite end of this scale.

Conclusion — it is necessary to master the art of psychic self-regulation. (Read more about it in the book “Ecopsychology”.

And God the Son (or the Daughter) is a Holy Spirit incarnated in a human body, and it can also be an incarnate Person Who has attained Perfection in his or her current incarnation and lives still in his or her current material body. Synonyms for this word are Christ, Messiah, and Avatar.

In order to actively approach Perfection, one needs to develop oneself along three basic lines: Love, Wisdom and Power.

Love implies a developed subtle giving spiritual heart.

Wisdom is based on practical knowledge of the multidimensional nature of both the Creator and His Creation. And also — on the knowledge of the fundamental evolutionary psychology of man and other evolved species.

And the Divine Power, Might, is the result of the highest level of Fusion of the Holy Spirit’s or Avatar’s individuality — with the Universal Creator.

Once you have established a correct knowledge about God, then you should begin to study His Teachings, which are now presented in literature and video materials. This includes our books and videos.

It is important not just to read or hear some recommendations of God and to agree with them, thinking: “Wow, he spoke so well and beautifully”! No, that is not enough! One has to imprint these principles very firmly — and change one’s life in accordance with them.

And if we discover our own ethical mistakes, we must repent. (Read more about this in my article “I have had cancer, and more than once” and in our other materials).

The task of such work on oneself is to get rid of vices. Every person can do this only independently. No one can do it for another person.

Where is God? He is everywhere, but He is in the highest layers of the multidimensional space. So we usually do not see Him, but He sees us.

He is fully aware of what each of us does, wants, dreams, plans, what we feel sorry for, whom we fear, whom we hate, whom we love.

We are the ones who do not see Him until we have developed ourselves spiritually enough. But He knows everything about us — and builds the destiny of each of us on this basis.

The main ethical principle is doing no harm. Let it be brought to the level of not even causing someone grief.

The relationship to others can be based on the principle: Let each one esteem the other greater than himself or herself!*

And if someone says that he\she wants to cognize God but cannot give up smoking or eating the bodies of slaughtered animals… — let such people be satisfied with religious movements: it is too early for them to be on the spiritual Path.

What do the majority of people who consider themselves believers in the existence of God — spend their time, thinking about? Namely, they spend it condemning all those who think differently.

… But it is God Who should be the focus of every person’s spotlight!

And with the emotion of condemnation, there is no getting closer to God!*

The alternative to condemnation is tolerance to those who think differently.

… One day, I heard the end of a radio program with a conversation with a woman. She was expressing her attitude on this subject. She spoke about what she meant by the word freedom:

“If I want to bathe without panties, I bathe without panties. If I want to bathe in panties, I bathe in panties!

I don’t want anyone to judge me, not even mentally. Let them better admire me, if I am worthy!”

Isn’t she right, with only a few reservations?*

And does it matter to God if a person meditates in underwear or without underwear, but with the whole soul striving for Him, loving Him?

… Intolerance to beauty belongs to servants of hell. They harm other beings and themselves — through their emotions and actions.

…They are mistaken who devote their lives to judging others! On the contrary, to become better and to deserve life in paradise, we should instead seek out our own vices — and get rid of them!

One has to start and continue perfecting — from oneself!

And then one has to begin work with the spiritual heart, as it is described in “Ecopsychology” and in our other books.

First, we expand and purify the anahata chakra (along with the other chakras and main meridians). Then we gradually transform ourselves into a spiritual heart — and grow and grow, reaching with ourselves the expanses over the seas, mountains, steppes… and then the cosmic expanses… And we should remember the necessity of being in Mergence with God.

One can get help in this — by meditating in nature and by communicating in harmony with worthy companions.

One has to learn to meditate with one’s material eyes open. Otherwise, one cannot develop clairvoyance.

All higher-stage meditations are performed with the expansion of the consciousness behind the anahata chakra.
