Poems and Revelations about the Path/Pythagoras: On Managing Emotions
Pythagoras:
On Managing Emotions
— In light of the current events, I want to share a few words about what people who seek Harmony with Life and God can do now and always.
On the stage of human interactions on this planet, coarse emotional states often dominate: hatred, anger, envy, condemnation, irritation, resentment, fear, a sense of sorrow, the feeling of life shattered, or horror at what is happening around, and similar manifestations of emotions. Joy, celebration, inspiration, delight, bliss, and gentle tranquility much less frequently fill the space.
There are sometimes unfortunate situations on the planet, and some people involved live only considering revenge, hatred and condemnation as their duty and purpose.
It's worth nothing that even close individuals, believing they love each other, sometimes allow themselves outbursts of negative emotions when they believe they are right and others disagree.
To some extent, we can learn to extinguish such situations in the space around us: within ourselves and in others. Even the soul's presence in a state of unwavering, refined love makes a significant contribution to this process!
Conscious living of the soul in connection with God and wise interaction with the surroundings help achieve this. You can gift, radiate into the space of the Universe, joy, happiness, bliss, harmony, peace, and tranquility. Learning to live like this always is crucial. This can be done through personal interactions with people, through meditation films, and through all of our other materials.
This is important — explaining, teaching people to manage their emotions, to control their states of consciousness. It's also crucial to teach them to understand that it's not just about suppressing emotions, like anger or resentment, by consciously or unconsciously pushing the unwanted feelings deep into the subconscious, as if storing a stone for later. It's about being able to transmute the energy, to adjust the resonance of the soul, transforming coarser energy into subtle and gentle emotions: tranquility, understanding, acceptance… It shouldn't be an artificial mask with a "duty smile" on the face while holding onto resentment or irritation inside; it's precisely the transformation of the soul, turning a state into love. This is a significant and important inner work.
The most successful way to achieve this is through interaction with God! It is in the crucible of love that the vices of the soul and emotions of lower orders are burned away. It is in the Flame of Divine Love that a new state of the soul is born!
— How did You teach this to Your disciples?
— Just as I teach you!
I didn't admit everyone to the School… The ability to live in harmony with oneself and the Divine Principle was very significant in the learning process. Not all my disciples achieved Divinity in one lifetime, but they studied and aspired to master Divine Ethics in every way!
