Campfire on Snow

Poems and Revelations about the Path/Campfire on Snow

Campfire on Snow

In a land where a blizzard whistles, a storm and snow,

Man may get tired halfway, complain and behind fall…

But the friend will make a campfire —

Campfire on snow.

The one who went with us

More than once on inclement days,

Knows how valuable are —

Such campfires for man:

The blizzard will subside

And life will come to the world.

And the friend will be saved

By campfire on snow!

… Now outside the window

Are flowers and it’s warm,

But, if you notice that I’m tired, can step back and fall,

Then please make for me the campfire — campfire on snow!

Let the firewood do not crack in the palms of the fire,

But you tell me that you’re for me and I am right!

And it will, to spite a trouble,

Dance in a ring of fire — campfire on snow!

(Lyrics by Leonid Derbenyov.

Music by Alexander Zatsepin.

Artist of the song — Maya Kristalinskaya.

This text was translated from Russian and slightly revised by Vladimir Antonov in order to make it easier to understand.)
