Chapter 6.
Healing the Deaf

I would like to tell you about the life with Jesus, every hour, every day, but that would be too much. It would overwhelm the readers with an excess of information that cannot be fully absorbed. Therefore, let only selected episodes reveal how we lived back then.

I hope that on these pages, you will find not just a biography or a mere account of the events and miracles that accompanied us on our journey with Jesus. When the words of Jesus, spoken in those times, are recorded, they can resonate again and again in the souls of people who read or hear them. This is how the presence of Jesus multiplies in the lives of such people.

The words of the Divine Teachers are unique! By listening to them, people have the opportunity to touch the Great Love and Wisdom of the Masters, to feel and remember the states of Their Peace and Blissful Tenderness.

After all, Jesus is offering His Love to everyone right now! You can open up and accept this Radiance of Divine Love.

What does it mean to accept? — It means to feel it vividly, fully, consciously, and then to live in such a way and try to give such love to others… It is as if empty vessels are filled with Divine Grace, and from these vessels, you can quench the thirst of others.

And then, again and again, Grace descends, fills, and overflows those who give their love and those who receive it! Such souls grow in the Divine Light!

There is joy in receiving Love from Jesus and from the Heavenly Father. When a person realizes that God rejoices over their love, the bliss of God's Responsive Love is felt very vividly, and the Heavenly Father embraces with His Tenderness! And then, one can understand how beautiful it is to share love with others from this spiritual fullness.

It is the greatest happiness: when, together with the Heavenly Father, one gives Love to others! When you can give God's Love together with God, allowing the Streams of Light-Bliss to pass through yourself as a soul and your body, it is an unforgettable experience! That's how a person connects with God!

This happiness is the inheritance of Divine Souls, but it is also accessible to all those who sincerely serve the Heavenly Father and learn the labor of such giving in union with the Great Will, even in the early stages of the spiritual Path!

Then, gradually, at some point, your spiritual practice, your meditation, becomes special, and “doing” ceases, giving way to non-doing. You become like an obedient instrument in the Divine Hands. The Heavenly Father pours out His Love on others with His Generous Hand, and you are merely an instrument in His Hand. Blessed a hundredfold is the one who is able to give the highest Bliss to others in union with the Supreme Will! If a person is filled with Divine Love, their highest joy lies in giving this Unconditional Love.

But I got carried away with my thoughts…

I will continue the story of how we learned to live life with God alongside Jesus.

Almost every day of our journey with Jesus was accompanied by miraculous events and healings. Whenever people gathered to listen to Jesus’ preaching, there were always sick among them who would recover by just being near Him. Some of the sick were brought or carried to Jesus, and He often healed them. Learning about such miracles, huge crowds of people gathered, eager to see it with their own eyes or to receive healing from their own illnesses.

This happened repeatedly.

Deaf and mute individuals regained their hearing to hear the words of God, and after gaining the ability to speak, they testified to the reality of Divine Love and Grace. The blind regained their sight, the paralyzed began to walk, and severe illnesses disappeared without a trace. Sometimes these healings were instantaneous, while other times, bodily transformations were not complete or immediate but stretched over time. However, the most important aspect was the healing of souls, which may not be visible externally but transforms destinies and helps people strive toward the Divine.

For me, the understanding of inner transformation became very clear through the story of healing a deaf person. We observed this man, who had lost his hearing after a severe illness in his youth, following us relentlessly for three weeks. He would sit quite far away during Jesus’ sermons, and yet, we could see that he was listening to the Lord's words.

I was very interested in what was happening to him, how he perceived things when his ears could not hear words. But it was evident from the expressions on his face that he understood everything. He laughed at jokes and amusing stories that Jesus sometimes told or shed tears of repentance when Jesus, in His words directed towards souls, helped him see his flaws and gave him the resolve and strength for purification and transformation.

After these three weeks, the man approached Jesus and expressed gratitude for the miracle of healing. Not everyone present believed in this transformation because, in three weeks, we had moved far away from the places where everyone knew he was deaf.

After the crowd dispersed, I approached him and asked him about what had happened to him during those days.

He shared, slowly choosing his words, that initially, he felt so much love and bliss that he couldn't move away and followed us from a distance, but continuously. Then he began to understand the meaning of what was said. He had been taught to read and write, and the study of sacred texts was the greatest joy in his life. But with Jesus by his side, the understanding of everything he had tried to grasp before began to fill and overflow from within him in a unique way. He was awestruck by this realization of Truth. It was as if heavy veils were lifting from the soul with each passing minute, with each passing hour. And then, the voice of Jesus resounded within him. He could hear the Teacher’s words more and more clearly. While he still couldn't hear other sounds, and the speech of those around him remained inaudible, Jesus’ words sounded within him vividly and distinctly. This was an understanding of how to live with God. He made the decision to live this way. He didn’t pray for healing, didn’t think it was possible; he simply accepted the continuous Divine Influence. And then, in one moment, he regained his hearing… And at that moment, he went to Jesus and expressed his gratitude for the miracle that allowed him to comprehend the Words of God, transforming his life and destiny.

We got accustomed to such amazing occurrences quite rapidly. Usually, we were more astonished by external rather than internal transformations because we didn't always understand and see what was happening in the souls of those who listened to Jesus’ words. It was only gradually that we came to realize that, just as in the story of the man who regained his hearing, transformation begins from within, and that's when healing becomes possible. This can be the case for both physically healthy and ill individuals!

The miracles that occurred in the presence of Jesus attracted more and more people. The crowds surrounding us during the sermons gradually grew. We went to new villages and cities, and there, Jesus continued his work of nurturing those who came and accepted His teachings from the Living Divine Messenger.

One day, a man approached Jesus and asked for help.

“I healed you before,» Jesus said to him.

“You even remember that, Teacher! How do you remember? Yes, that's true, but the illness has returned… Everything is bad again.”

“Do you know why this is happening?”

“Yes, I do. I sinned again, knowingly, aware that I was sinning. It's my fault. I didn't follow your guidance.”

“What do you want now?”

“I'm appealing to your mercy once again! Save me!”

“Whoever stumbles because of ignorance, is anyway responsible. But those, who know the right way, and still transgresses their conscience again and again, are much more guilty before God.”

“Yes, that’s what I’ve come to understand today, Jesus, and I repent.”

“Aren’t you afraid of multiplying your problems in your life by asking me to heal you again?”

“Yes, I’m afraid, but I believe you'll help me overcome my vices…”

“But why don't you see the help in the return of your illness? At times, God reminds people of Himself through suffering… Sadly, it’s only suffering that teaches most people to remember God and have faith in Him. But it is possible, without waiting for pain and suffering, to transform our lives and correct the flaws of the souls! Well, I will help you once again now… But remember, you have power over your vices and can prevent them from taking root. Listen to your conscience and act righteously.”

The man, tearfully grateful, fell at Jesus's feet. Jesus raised him up:

“May your gratitude be in a righteous life and in helping everyone God brings to you. You now know the commandments of Good and the Divine Power through your own experience. You can help others understand this…”

Then Jesus continued:

“For today, enough has been said and done! You are all before the Heavenly Father, and His mercy and love are always with you!”

And with that, we left for the hut where we were allowed to spend the night.

Many people heard and saw all of this. Some began to pray to God for the fulfillment of their wishes, while others expressed gratitude for the understanding and reminders about what matters most through difficulties…
