Pythagoras Talks about the Spiritual Path

On this day, all the new students of Pythagoras gathered on the seashore.

There were not many of them yet. There were only six of those who were recently admitted to the School. But there were also all those senior students who were now mastering the ability to pass on to beginners the first steps of practical transformation of body and soul.

Ariadne thought that the lesson would be conducted by Leonardos, Konstantinos, or one of the older students. This had happened more than once.

But Pythagoras went out himself to teach this lesson. This filled everyone with reverent joy: the Teacher today will direct the souls of beginners to the Light!

Pythagoras looked at everyone with affection.

“Well, let’s get started!

“There is the first stage of cognition, at which there are people listening about the Truth. On this stage, one learns that there is an opportunity for the development and improvement of oneself-soul to approach the Divine Light. This is the initial stage of cognition, when a person listens attentively about the Truth and absorbs the foundations of understanding about the tasks of his or her life. All of you have already successfully passed this stage and aspired to purity and knowledge.

“But real students of the Divine Consciousness are practitioners who bring this knowledge into their lives every day.

“Each of our new days is like a small life, beginning in the morning and ending in the evening. We should live every day with dignity and meaning during these lives that have been given to us!

“It is important that this should not happen from time to time, in a burst of enthusiasm. Rather, the one who strives to live in accordance with the Laws of Cosmic Harmony, with the Laws of Love and Virtue in the Divine universe, must constantly make efforts!

“Let every movement and thought of a person be filled with Love!

“Divine Love fills the spaces around and within us!

“But how often do we remember this? Do we know how to notice it?

“The space has several layers-eons. Here and now, in this marvelous natural place, in the beauty of the sea, trees, flowers, and the space of air that surrounds us — right here, at this moment in time, there are worlds of different refinement and luminosity. We see with the eyes of our bodies only a very small part of what exists. What we call the physically manifested reality is really only that which we perceive with the help of our senses.

“But — as souls — we are able to study other eons. We can learn to perceive them and understand how the transformation of the soul leads us to the refined eons, where the Realized Souls, that is, Gods, dwell!

“But today, we will pay some attention to our bodies.

“The one who has not brought one’s body into harmony cannot fully feel and express the Divine Harmony!

“A body filled with coarse energies is an obstacle to the elevation of the soul!

“And a sinking into emotional coarseness usually goes unnoticed for a person.

“Human nature is very multifaceted. A soul, having come to the Earth, puts on the clothes of a body.

“And bodies usually largely correspond to the qualities inherent in souls.

“But later, going through life, a person-soul, by his or her choices and manner of behavior, changes a lot in his or her fate — for the better or for the worse.

“The body, like a boat, glides over the waters to take us to our destination. Therefore, the body must be in good working order to carry the soul — through life in the world of matter — to the worlds of Divine Light!

“It is very important on the spiritual Path for our bodies to be clean.

“The initial conditions for achieving this purity are ethically pure nutrition, as well as purity of thoughts and emotions.

“And this is enough for a righteous life in the world, but not for entering those eons of Light in which Gods abide!

“But there are other great opportunities, and they can be opened for us!

“When we, as refined souls, enter the eon where Gods dwell, then all of Them — for us — become near, right here! We find ourselves among Them! Their Love and Wisdom are then next to us! And we can learn the living interaction of souls with Them!

“This, truly, is a miracle that is bestowed on a disciple who is working on refining himself or herself, as a soul!

“Now Konstantinos will show you the exercises that should be performed every morning, activating all the centers that distribute energy and the channels for it within our bodies. Come on, my friends, and remember that Divine Souls are present here and now and help all of us!”
