God is Love. Love for God What Is LoveLove has multiple aspects. It manifests itself as care, tenderness, devotion, self-sacrifice, active service to God, which is realized through service to other people called Karma Yoga (work not for reward, but in order to please God), and in many other ways. LoveLove is the main quality of God. In order to merge with Him (or even to escape hell, to begin with) we have to learn to feel emotions of love and to perform deeds of love, to eliminate all the opposite states and actions, whatever circumstances we may live in. God Is LoveJesus Christ gave us this highest formula, the key to cognition of God. Every Instance of Leaving the State of LoveEvery instance of leaving the state of love results in accumulation of bad karma God told me this once many years ago. This statement can be put as a second point right after God is Love. Practice of the Modern HesychasmLet us consider the main postulates of Jesus Christ Teachings: 1. Be perfect, as your Father in Heaven is perfect! (Matt 5:48) 2. I and the Father are One! (John 10:30) 3. I am the Vine! (John 15:1-5) 4. Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father! (John 10:15) 5. I love the Father! (John 14:31) 6. O righteous Father! I have known You! (John 17:25) 7. And learn of Me! (Matt 11:29) 8. God is Love! (1 John 4:16) 9. You shall love the Lord your God with all the heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength! (Mark 12:29-30) 10. You shall love your neighbor as yourself! (Mark 12:31) Love for GodThe main ethical principle of ones relationship with God has to be love for Him. Love your God! Jesus made this precept of the Old Testament the most important one in His Teachings (Mark 12:28-34). How Can We Fall in Love With God?Our love for God must guide us not towards attainment of paradise but towards reaching even greater spiritual heights towards Mergence with the Creator in His highest eon. Love the Lord, Your God!... Love Your Neighbor!Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all the soul, and with all your strength! (Deut 6:5), Love your neighbor as you love yourself! (Lev 19:18) these are two statements from the Bible made by Hebrew prophets and repeated by Jesus Christ as the most important commandments from God for Hebrews at those ancient times (Matt 22:37-39; Mark 12:30-31; Luke 10:27). On Love for Myself, Self-Hatred and Love for GodGod encourages people to love other beings in all forms of love, even if it is as long as this is only the very first sprouts: such as appropriate emotions directed to plants, pets, family members, including children Unity with God is possible only through the developed love for Him! My TreasureWhere your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Luke 12:34). Learn to sincerely love everything beautiful in the Creation and then all the Creation as a whole, master through this the ability to emotionally love and then you will be able to learn to love the Creator, Who will allow you to get close to Him, to cognize Him and merge with Him! Key of LoveLove is the key that opens to the soul the gate to the Light, to the cognition of the Creator! Love is the State of God, So the One Who Walks the Path Approaches the Creator by the Steps of LoveWhen we love Cod we approach Him directly. About LoveIt is love that unites man with man and man with God! Start mastering Love through loving people all of them, as they are and only after that will you be able to love God emphasizes Jesus Christ. On God-CentrismIt is the love that allows for such a Connection and Mergence. At the same time, the human I becomes a Part of the Great Divine Love. |
